WHAT ABOUT THE STYLES?

There are a lot of styles and each style has several types. It depends of each brewmaster and brewery. This the main list:

  • PALE LAGER: Med-high carbonation, malt taste, light body. Dry finish

  • BLONDE ALE: Mild malt sweetness, low bitterness, light body. Dry finish

  • HEFEWEIZEN: Low bitterness, fruity, high carbonation. Medium body

  • PALE ALE: Medium hops. English style strikes balance between malt and hops. Medium to dry finish.

  • IPA: Pronounced hops. Other English style strikes balance between malt and hops. Medium to dry finish.

  • AMBER ALE: Hops & malt are very well balanced. USA West Coast creation. Caramel richness, malt and hops. Medium body.

  • IRISH RED ALE: Toasted malt, medium sweet caramel flavor. Clean. Dry finish.

  • BROWN ALE: Mid to high malt character. Low hops. Includes caramel, chocolate, toffee, nuts ans biscuits flavours. Medium    dry finish.

  • PORTER: Moderate roasted malt taste with  notes of chocolate.

  • STOUT: Strong roasted malt with coffe, chocolate or caramel flavors.

  • VIENNA STYLE: Subtle hops, crisp, malty, breadly, caramelizaed, flavours, with some residual sweetness.

  • PILSNER: Golden to copper color, floral aroma from the hops. Mildly malty with a sharp bitterness and a dry finish.

  • MAIBOCKS, BOCKS and DOPPLE BOCKS: A sweet, often dark lager that originated in Germany as a spring seasonal beer. Types: malty traditional, paler hoppier helles and strong, deeply colored Dopple Bock.

  • LAMBIC FRUIT ALES: Fermented with wild yeasts, they havea a tartand fruity flavor profile often featuring cherries or raspberries.

  • STEAM BEER:Orange-Amber in color with a light fruit aroma and sharp hop notes.

  • CIDERS:Made from fermented apple or pear juice and are often sweet and simple.

  • WHEAT BEER: This style has notes of fruit and little hoppiness. Also known as hefeweizens which are cloudy, krystal wizens which are clear, and Dunkelweizens a darker version.
